The Jefferson Theater can be rented
-- for parties, receptions, exhibitions, seminars....

Since 1912, the Jefferson Theater has been Charlottesville's entertainment center. Here, the great performers of American history, including Harry Houdini, the Three Stooges, and fire & brimstone preacher Billy Sunday made their mark on Charlottesville. More recent stars include Terri Allard, Dave Matthews, Ben Folds Five, and others.

But here in the year 2006 its primary function is as a movie theater. However, qualified, insured promotors and other organizations with a track record of success can rent it. Please be advised that becasue most rentals disrupt our regular 364-day movie schedule, no rental will be booked without pre-payment of the rental fee and a security deposit.

Special daytime movie screenings of films currently showing at the Jefferson
