About The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank: Established in 1981, the BRAFB provides food to 114,000 neighbors each month and is the largest organization alleviating hunger across central and western Virginia. $1 provides 4 meals to our neighbors in need.

About Party of Four: The music of the seventies can be viewed as a reaction to the huge wake left behind by The Beatles. But by the 1980's and 1990's, the world was ready again to embrace melodic jangle pop.

College rock bands from the South like R.E.M., Let's Active, Guadalcanal Diary and the Connells showed reverence to the jangly guitar sounds of the British Invasion, while updating the song form. Power pop devotees like Matthew Sweet, the Posies, and Teenage Fanclub-- clearly influenced by '60s melodies and song structure--opted for a more modern guitar sound. Bands like Counting Crows, Gin Blossoms, and Tom Petty represented middle American jangle pop, as contrasted with the mold-breaking innovation and aggression coming out of Seattle. LA had the Bangles and Plimsouls, while The Stone Roses, The La's, Oasis, and others led the Britpop movement--essentially a rejection of grunge, and a return to sounds of the Beatles-led British Invasion.

With unerring accuracy, Party of Four plays it all. Anchored by the drumming of Jim Blossom, the twin jangle of guitarists AC Purdy and Rick Becker chimes above Beau Jangle's bass while their four-part harmonies bring to life the best songs of the last two decades of the twentieth century.

About The Mashup: There are only two words are necessary to describe THE MASHUP: Energy and Talent. Behind the sound stands a crowd pleasing performance that's powerful beyond belief with the rich sincerity of true entertainment stylists. When they take the stage the synergy of their enormous energy leaps to the forefront to capture an audience and doesn't let them go until the last note has faded into the echo of exuberant applause.

THE MASHUP has compiled a brand new up-to-date show that will keep their fans and the new comers happy alike, comprising of an ever-changing set list than consist of tunes from the fifties to the modern hits on the radio today. After many many years of performing, THE MASHUP can accommodate any event you may have in mind. Thanks for the curiosity and time!
